I uses dododex and found that I would 215 tranq arrows because I was going to use a 294.1% damage crossbow. I over prepared and decided to go ahead and bring 450 tranq arrows. Fast forward to taming. also, dont fully draw back the tranq arrow, do it just enough for it to fire, as it does less damage, it also take about 3 seconds for the torpor to apply from a tranq arrow. so dont just keep firing and firing obviously the higher level the dino, the higher its torpor stat, and the more tranq's you'll need to knock it out edit
